Your really gonna get what you put into this school. If your looking for opportunities , scholarships, internships, and jobs you can find them here but you might have to do some work to get them. Getting involved in clubs, student life, and professors will open up so many avenues for you so put yourself out there.

You need to pay quick that same day you enroll to class or else they will drop you from the class without any warning. And they can't put you back in class because they have no control and could care less. They rather have an empty class than to put you back in.

The pricing is soo cheap - they are literaly paying me to go to school! They have a Foodbank where you can get 60 pounds of food for free. Feels safe, HCC police are always around! Social life is what you make of it ! I have made amazing friends here! Their are many locations across Houston. Great place to go - credits will transfer :)

Excellent community college if you want to transfer or build pre-requisite courses to apply elsewhere. Campuses are conveniently located everywhere in the Houston-Metro area, which makes it easier for those living nearby. Most campuses are very clean and organized, and student life is decent. Highly recommended.

HCC is a good place to slowly enter into the "college" scene after graduating high school. However, my main issue with this institution is that it doesn't provide enough courses in person and relies heavily on online courses. Many of my required courses were only available online. This can make it difficult for "physical learners" like myself.

You are suppost to be assigned an academic advisor. It took 9 months untill I finally recieved a call from them. Infact I didnt even know I had one assigned. My online classes are a joke and everything is on quizlet

Most of the good professors are in the nicer areas of houston. ie. Katy, Stafford, Westloop.Very affordable, the pell grant covers more than enough of the cost to attend. The food is meh. Social life is what you make of it. Thankfuly I have met some great people and made some friends. But I do know of other who are scared to go outside and socializ

The academic advising was excellent. I was able to make it through nursing school after having a bachelor’s with a very low GPA. I am truly grateful this school allowed me a second chance in life. The best advisors I have ever had. And the most financially affordable to give you a push start in life. I highly recommend this school to anyone.

Personally I like the small classes and the easiness of signing up for classes. The commute is also pretty short for me as well that was great for the days I woke a tad late. There were not many food options at the Katy campus where I am though. However, there are plenty food places surrounding the campus itself. The professors were also kind.
